Cape San Blas Information

The entire peninsula, better known as "the Cape," is comprised of more than 17 miles of pristine beach accessible though a number of beach parks. Cape Palms Park includes a picnic pavilion, playground, grills and an observation deck. Salinas Park located at the entrance of Cape San Blas is nestled among scrub oak trees. Fishing

Boaters can take advantage of the public Indian Pass public boat ramp (no fee to launch) for a cruise to St. Vincent Island, or into Apalachicola Bay or the Gulf of Mexico for some spectacular sport fishing. If you don't have a boat, a number of offshore charter boats and inshore fishing guides have everything necessary to guarantee you a great day of fishing.

Anglers that prefer to keep their feet in the sand will enjoy surf fishing along the shoreline on the Gulf of Mexico side of the Cape. Whiting, pompano, trout, sheephead, black drum, spanish mackerel and a variety of other species are available. For information about what's biting during a particular season of the year, visit the bait and tackle shop at the Scallop Cove BP station on Cape San Blas Road.
